why is the bank changing its name?
Wells Bancshares, Inc. is purchasing Connections Bancshares, Inc. and in the 4th quarter of 2023 it will merge their two banks together. Management takes pride in being a community bank and with Wells Bank having a similar name to a large corporate bank who does not share the same community bank values, management has decided to push forward with the name Connections Bank.
will i still use my existing checks?
Yes, you can continue to use existing checks until they are gone. Our routing and account numbers are not changing.
will i still use my debit card?
Yes, when your existing debit card expires you will receive an updated card with the new name, but until that point you can continue to use the existing card. The new cards will have the added feature of being contactless; using RFID technology.
Will there be any changes to my online banking/bank's web address?
Yes, www.wells.bank will be changed to www.connections.bank; however, your existing username, password and any personal preference settings will not change.
will my click mobile app change?
There will be an update available to display the new bank name; however, your existing username, password and any personal preference settings will not change.
Do I need to update any ach debits or deposits?
No, since there will be no change to your account, all ACH debits and deposits will continue to process without any change.
Can we continue to use deposit tickets with wells bank's name?
Yes, there will be no change to the existing Wells Bank routing or account numbers.
